Made a little ditty about our most recent visitor. Also, the music came from the Jazz Mass at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Carroll Gardens. Yes, sometimes we worship with a jazz quintet. The Caribbean Princess left Red Hook yesterday afternoon, and was replaced by the rarely seen, tiny Tahitian Princess this morning. One might say that Red Hook is a kingdom of transient royalty.

The RMS Queen Mary 2 embarked this evening from Red Hook. I should note that there has been a surprising amount of activity at the Red Hook piers recently. Rarely does one of the ships force the other out of dock, not to msntion leave less than 12 hours after arrival.

Last night a few friends joined us here in Red Hook to share the bounty of fresh veggies from our own rooftop garden.  By ‘bounty’ I mean one squash and some hot peppers, so naturally the meal was complimented by produce from our local CSA, Added Value. Maybe if I keep plugging away at our modest skyward plot, we’ll eventually end up with this!
