Cat Power accomplishes in this song what millions can only dream of. Not only did she write and perform a breathtaking tribute to Bob Dylan, but she did it in his own medium and, arguably, style. What’s more, the lyrics chronicle a personal success to the point that her own accomplishments draw Dylan’s personal attention (!). Ultimately she finds herself on the brink of confessing her deep love for her musical idol in person, enveloped in the thrill of the moment.
