After images of Mercury (9), Mars (10) and Jupiter (11), a color photograph of our planet appears. It wouldn’t have been possible to include this view of Earth had the Voyager missions been launched in 1967 instead of 1977; The first ‘whole world’, fully-lit photograph of Earth as seen from space wasn’t actually taken until 1972.
