Nicolai Ouroussoff has a lovely architecture review of Jean Nouvel’s plans for the National Museum of Qatar. The review explains how the design, which was unveiled today at the MoMA, attempts to bridge the gap between Qatar’s traditional beduin society and its emerging urban culture. I guess both groups must like intersecting discs.
